Media Literacy Teacher | Developed and implemented creative lesson plans for 1st-5th grade using technology. Taught students to recognize techniques used in the media they are exposed to daily. Students learned how to deconstruct advertising messages using a variety of media creation software to develop their own compelling presentations. Students created projects in logo design, packaging design, advertising, poetry and book design. Through the design process, students acquired critical thinking skills which helped them communicate their ideas effectively.

Art and Design Instructor | Taught digital art techniques to students 10-13 years of age. Facilitated hands-on and digital approaches to art making by encouraging students to form unique relationships between typography and art. Increased students’ design skills in Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator through lessons on book covers, movie posters, logos, and photography composites.
